By analyzing some authentic verses and narrations, it can be seen that in the school of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), the Golden Rule of Ethics has been introduced as a general rule in social relations, according to which a person should like for others what he likes for himself. In the present study, it has been investigated what evidence can be relied upon to prove this rule, based on narrative sources, especially Shiite narrations; also, based on this evidence, what is the scope of the implication of the Golden Rule of Ethics and what are the characteristics of the implication of this rule? This study was conducted using the ijtihad method based on the methodology of the school of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and in it, in addition to identifying the evidence related to the Golden Rule of Ethics, these evidences have been analyzed from the perspective of documentary and declarative evidence. According to the results of these analyses, some authentic verses and narrations imply a theme similar to the Golden Rule of Ethics, and this Golden Rule of Ethics is considered a comprehensive standard for observing the truths of the self-government and is not a title that advises various detailed rules. At the same time, this rule is not limited to dealing with Shiites or Muslims and is inclusive of all humans. Also, in addition to the heart dimension, the aforementioned rule also includes the behavioral dimension of humans, and this is why this rule implies obligation in some cases and desirability and preference in others.
